Apical sealing with MTA in a tooth with incomplete rhizogenesis and enamel hypoplasia

چکیده

Introduction: In teeth with incomplete rhizogenesis, the canal is frustoconical and broad, foramen absent. The disinfection obturation protocol must be adapted to keep treatment within root limits. Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) performs an apexification by creating a hard tissue barrier cement deposits, it not toxic periradicular tissues. Hypoplasia quantitative enamel defect caused hereditary factors and/or physiological stress. Clinical case: 12-year-old patient generalized hypoplasia, asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis, normal periapical tissues as diagnosis. Treatment: Apexification MTA. Conclusion: MTA enables apexification, biocompatible does cause inflammation in tissues, forming apical seal deposit.

Apical barrier formation after incomplete orthograde MTA apical plug placement in teeth with open apex--report of two cases.

Two cases are reported in which incomplete placement of 4 mm mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) plug was performed unintentionally at the apical third of permanent immature teeth with open apex and apical periodontitis. As confirmed radiographically, there were gaps between MTA and dentinal walls along the MTA-dentin interface. After setting of MTA was confirmed, endodontic treatment was complete...
